Hadith No. 40 – Sahih al-Bukhari
Salam,
Bismillah.
What motivates you to do good? And keep doing it? For me, it’s the following Hadith:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “If any one of you improves (follows strictly) his Islam, then his good deeds will be rewarded ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed and a bad deed will be recorded as it is.”
Good deed = 10 to 700 times reward.
Bad deed = as it is. (x1)
Do you see how Gracious Allah (SWT) is? Whoever does one good deed will be rewarded at least ten times more than he deserves. It could go up to 700 and more, depending upon the intention, sincerity and the quality.
And a bad deed doesn’t multiply the punishment. You’ll be punished only for what you did. No more, no less.
It’s so simple, yet so motivating. I love it! Religion is easy indeed. :)
Wassalam.

It gives a hope. alhamdulillah we r muslims. jazakALLAH khair.
loved this one. :)
Alhamdulillah. :)
no wonder..!
Yumna we can even make a rate scale on this hadith.
For instance I plan a good deed and then I do it for a week.
Each day of the week I rank my “Ikhlaas” in it and keep working untill I reach the “700′ wala level!
what say??
Definitely! Awesome idea. Will try to do it as well iA. :)
