Forwarding (Hadith No. 64)

Volume 1, Book 3, Number 64:

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Abbas:

Once Allah’s Apostle gave a letter to a person and ordered him to go and deliver it to the Governor of Bahrain. (He did so) and the Governor of Bahrain sent it to Chousroes, who read that letter and then tore it to pieces. (The sub-narrator (Ibn Shihab) thinks that Ibn Al-Musaiyab said that Allah’s Apostle invoked Allah against them (saying), “May Allah tear them into pieces, and disperse them all totally.)”

A very interesting derivation from this Hadith: forwarding.

We can forward good emails/texts/books/articles/letters to others. It’s a Sunnah! :D
This way more people will be able to benefit from a single reading material.

So do this next time you get a text/email: hit ‘forward’! :)

  1. SubhanAllah we keep farwrding mails and texts, but never think that its also a sunnah to convey whatever little knowledge we have.. the prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said, convey from me even an ayah..

JazakAllah khair! Great reminder!! inshAllah I will act upon this sunnah from NOW on.. :)

  2. Yes! we’vw got to spread the truth..
as we get to know from pearls of Prophet Mohammed(Salla Allahu Alyhe Wa Aalihe Wassalam )
    Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr:

The Prophet(Salla Allahu Alyhe Wa Aalihe Wassalam ) said,

“Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel(which have been taught to you), for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) fire.”

    Sahih Al-Bukhari
