Got Kids Around You? Do Read! (Hadith No. 77)

This is the cutest Hadith ever! When I first read it, I came home to try it on my one-year-old nephew, Moosa. Can’t say he really enjoyed it, but I sure did! :)

Volume 1, Book 3, Number 77:

Narrated Mahmud bin Rabi’a:

When I was a boy of five, I remember, the Prophet took water from a bucket (used for getting water out of a well) with his mouth and threw it on my face.

Do try it with kids, considering it a Sunnah. You’ll love it!

  1. Awww.. I would want to do that to Hanzla but I ‘know’ how’d he react to that.

  2. Lovely! I do it to my nephews but now I’ll do it keeping the sunnah in mind IA.
Isn’t our religion simply awesome? Gives us a chance to get ajar from every little thing…

  3. WOW! I never knew this was a Sunnah! And i’m sure elders pretty much consider this a Batameezi wali act! :/ But I remember when I was young I went to live at my aunt’s place with my younger brother and there one day it was raining and my cousin (elder baji) did that to us!!!! Of course we followed the Sunnah too then!!! (lolzz) Feels so good to read this!!!!
    Alhamdulillah for Islam!!
