Mothers, Rejoice! (Hadith No. 101)
Salam,
Bismillah.
Now this may not fit all the mothers out there. But it’s worth knowing..
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
Some women requested the Prophet to fix a day for them as the men were taking all his time. On that he promised them one day for religious lessons and commandments. Once during such a lesson the Prophet said, “A woman whose three children die will be shielded by them from the Hell fire.” On that a woman asked, “If only two die?” He replied, “Even two (will shield her from the Hell-fire).”
P.S. the mother should be patient on the children’s death.
Generally, when a child dies, the mother grieves and holds grudges against Allah. ‘Why did He have to take away my child?’ And ‘He’s punishing me’ etc. But at that moment, if she’s patient and remains grateful to Allah, Allah will definitely reward her immensely.
How can a parent remain grateful to Allah after the death of his/her child? It’s the way of the Prophet (SAW). His son died in his early years. Prophet (SAW) did cry because he was sad but didn’t speak out any negative words.
Lesson: Whatever befalls you, be patient (hold yourself back from negative reaction) and hope for the reward from Allah. :)
Wassalam!
