No Doubt! (Hadith No. 105)
Posted by Yumna
Salam,
Bismillah.
The day of ‘Arafah at the time of the Prophet (SAW)’s Hajj was the day religion was completed. It marked the accomplishment of Prophet (SAW)’s mission: conveying the message. And it was the day when he gave the most beautiful and important sermon: the khutba (sermon) of Hajjat-ul-Wida’. Here’s a part of it..
Narrated Abu Bakra:
The Prophet said. No doubt your blood, property, [the sub-narrator Muhammad thought that Abu Bakra had also mentioned] and your honor (chastity), are sacred to one another as is the sanctity of this day of yours in this month of yours. It is incumbent on those who are present to inform those who are absent.” (Muhammad the Sub-narrator used to say, “Allah’s Apostle told the truth.”) The Prophet repeated twice: “No doubt! Haven’t I conveyed Allah’s message to you?”
No doubt! He did convey Allah’s Message to us. We believe.
Sometimes I wonder what I would do if I were there, listening to that sermon. Would I say these words at that point: “No doubt!”? What would it feel like? Where would my Imaan level be? Up above or down below? Haha.
So I wonder.. And I want to say ‘No doubt!’ with such belief that it fills up my heart and my whole existence.
But oh well! That’s just me..
Wassalam.
