Wisdom Of The Prophet (SAW) (Hadith No. 128)
Salam,
Bismillah.
Here’s one example of the wisdom of the Prophet (SAW).
Narrated Aswad:
Ibn Az-Zubair said to me, “Aisha used to tell you secretly a number of things. What did she tell you about the Ka’ba?” I replied, “She told me that once the Prophet said, ‘O ‘Aisha! Had not your people been still close to the pre-Islamic period of ignorance (infidelity), I would have dismantled the Ka’ba and would have made two doors in it; one for entrance and the other for exit.” Later on Ibn Az-Zubair did the same.
He said this to Aisha (RA) at the time of the Conquest of Makkah, when thousands of people had just accepted Islam. They had emotional attachments with Ka’bah and didn’t have much knowledge about Islam. So if Prophet (SAW) dismantled the Ka’bah, they would’ve gotten the wrong meaning. That’s why he didn’t take such a step.
Lesson: When you have choice between two evils, take the lesser one. That’s wisdom! ;)
Wassalam.
