East Or West (Hadith No. 146)
Salam,
Bismillah.
There’s a simple rule in this Hadith related to answering the call of nature in an open space. It’s true that we don’t encounter such situations these days. We get walled bathrooms everywhere. But, knowing this is important nevertheless. Any exceptional situation may arise and you’ll get confused. So, to avoid that, remember this:
Narrated Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari:
Allah’s Apostle said, “If anyone of you goes to an open space for answering the call of nature he should neither face nor turn his back towards the Qibla; he should either face the east or the west.”
Easy? :)
Wassalam.
