Entering a Mosque: First Thing (Ahadith 434-435)
Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah:
I went to the Prophet in the mosque (the sub-narrator Mas’ar thought that Jabir had said, “In the forenoon.”) He ordered me to pray two Rakat. He owed me some money and he repaid it to me and gave more than what was due to me.
Narrated Abu Qatada Al-Aslami:
Allah’s Apostle said, “If anyone of you enters a mosque, he should pray two Rakat before sitting.”
This is a very important Sunnah we need to remember and put into practice inshaAllah. Doesn’t hurt to pray two extra Rakat, right? Imagine all the hasanaat you get. :)
Quick question: who knows the du’a to be recited upon entering a mosque? It’s easy!
First correct answer gets a special prize from me, and reward from Allah as well inshaAllah. :D
