Now here is this awesome hadith that I fell in love with, the moment I read it. :D
Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 1, The Book of Belief, Hadith no. 39:
Narrated Abu Huraira r.a: The Prophet s.a.w said, “Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by offering the Salat (prayers) in the mornings, afternoons and during the last hours of the nights.”
It does not mean that leave your obligations since religion (i.e. Islam) is easy. Obligations are already so limited that a person is not burdened by them. It means here that for example, someone starts offering nafal (extra) as fardh (obligation).
So try to be perfect (right)…
