Hadith no. 722 is a repeat. Read it here.
(the wife of the Prophet) The people used to come from their abodes and from Al-‘Awali (i.e. outskirts of Medina up to a distance of four miles or more from Medina). They used to pass through dust and used to be drenched with sweat and covered with dust; so sweat used to trickle from them. One of them came to Allah’s Apostle who was in my house. The Prophet said to him, “I wish that you keep yourself clean on this day of yours (i.e. take a bath).”
Narrated Yahya bin Said:
I asked ‘Amra about taking a bath on Fridays. She replied, ” Aisha said, ‘The people used to work (for their livelihood) and whenever they went for the Jumua prayer, they used to go to the mosque in the same shape as they had been in work. So they were asked to take a bath on Friday.’ “

Narrated Abu Burda:
My father said, “I came to the Prophet and saw him carrying a Siwak in his hand and cleansing his teeth, saying, ‘U’ U’,” as if he was retching while the Siwak was in his mouth.”
Prophet (SAW) was very particular about his cleanliness and hygiene. He took special care of his mouth so it won’t reek. Miswak/Siwak was his best friend. He used to clean his teeth with every wudu and every chance he’d get. The implication here is that he used to clean his tongue with the Siwak as well, because germs tend to accumulate on it and cause sour mouth to stink. So he’d clean hi tongue as much as he could, going as far back as possible. So much so that the sounds u’ u’ used to come out (of the like when you’re about to vomit).
Try doing that now! :)
There are some things Prophet (SAW) told us to be careful about. They’re mostly related to our health, deen, cleanliness, Hereafter, Imaan, beliefs etc. It’s amazing to know that Prophet (SAW) cared so much about our daily-routine matters as well such as health and cleanliness. A very simple example is in today’s hadith..
Narrated Abu Qatada:
Allah’s Apostle said, “Whenever anyone of you drinks water, he should not breathe in the drinking utensil, and whenever anyone of you goes to a lavatory, he should neither touch his penis nor clean his private parts with his right hand.”
SubhanAllah. Prophet (SAW) was so descriptive in such matters so that people were careful. Is it too hard to follow these sunnahs? Be careful and get reward! :)
When it comes to cleanliness, nothing does a better job than water. Not toilet paper, not cotton, not earth (dust) and not even Kleenex. So make sure you use water for your personal cleanliness and hygiene, because tissues and rolls aren’t enough.
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Whenever Allah’s Apostle went to answer the call of nature, I along with another boy used to accompany him with a tumbler full of water. (Hisham commented: “So that he might wash his private parts with it.)”
We don’t need tumblers these days because taps and showers are available. But if you’re travelling, don’t forget to keep extra bottles/tumblers of water for this purpose. :)
