Hadith No. 276
Salam,
Bismillah.
Hadith no. 275 is a repeat. Read it here.
Narrated Aisha:
Whenever any one of us was Junub, she poured water over her head thrice with both her hands and then rubbed the right side of her head with one hand and rubbed the left side of the head with the other hand.
In the bath of Janaba, it is not compulsory to wash one’s hair properly. All that’s required is to wet the roots of hair and rub them, as described in the Hadith above.
But the bath of Haydh (menstruation) is a bit different. We’ll look at it in detail in Kitaab-ul-Haydh (Book of Menstruation) inshaAllah. :)
Wassalam.
Bath Method#2 (Hadith No. 249)
Salam,
Bismillah.
This is another way to take shower after Janaba (sexual intercourse). The difference between methods #1 and #2 is washing the feet at different steps. You’ll see.. (Get method#1 here.)
Narrated Maimuna:
(the wife of the Prophet) Allah’s Apostle performed ablution like that for the prayer but did not wash his feet. He washed off the discharge from his private parts and then poured water over his body. He withdrew his feet from that place (the place where he took the bath) and then washed them. And that was his way of taking the bath of Janaba.
You can do it either way. Only following the steps while taking a shower can bring you reward. How easy is that? :)
Wassalam.
Bath Method#1 (Hadith No. 248)
Salam,
Bismillah.
Kitaab-ul-Ghusl (Book of Bath) starts today!
This is the shower one needs after sexual intercourse. One can follow the method for a regular shower, but it’s not necessary.
Narrated ‘Aisha:
Whenever the Prophet took a bath after Janaba (sexual intercourse), he started by washing his hands and then performed ablution like that for the prayer. After that he would put his fingers in water and move the roots of his hair with them, and then pour three handfuls of water over his head and then pour water all over his body.
We’ll learn more methods too inshaAllah, so better keep the steps in mind. :)
Wassalam.
What Was The Reason? (Hadith No. 229)
Salam,
Bismillah.
Narrated ‘Aisha:
I used to wash the traces of Janaba (semen) from the clothes of the Prophet and he used to go for prayers while traces of water were still on it (water spots were still visible).
So I was thinking what could be the reason behind it? Why would Ayesha (RA) mention the last part? Did he do it because he wanted to show that it’s not something to be ashamed of? Or was it because he only had a pair or two of clothes in his wardrobe? Or because he wanted to tell the people that washing off the spots makes the cloth pure and usable again (because Jews used to cut off the soiled part)?
What do you think?
Wassalam.
