Getting Duas (Hadith No. 145)
Salam,
Bismillah.
From your experience, tell me, how hard is it to get duas from your parents or old people? Do you have to perform great feats to win their hearts? Of course not! A glass of water, showing them the way, holding their hand, smiling at them, carrying their load and other minor deeds make them so happy and they start giving you duas. It takes little effort, or none at all. So, never overlook those small deeds.
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas:
Once the Prophet entered a lavatory and I placed water for his ablution. He asked, “Who placed it?” He was informed accordingly and so he said, “O Allah! Make him (Ibn ‘Abbas) a learned scholar in religion (Islam).”
“Small Deeds” by Native Deen:
Picking up trash on the path in a flash
Taking glass from the grass, as you pass to your class
A smile goes a mile and is sure worthwhile
When a brother’s hostile, and has been for awhile
Put a dollar every day in the sadaqah (charity)
It may be small but you do it for the baraka (blessing)
I know you’re saving for the Polo and the Nautica
A poor student but you do it just to please Allah
Things like praying for an ailing brother, under the weather
Obeying yo your lovely mother, it’s for the better
Stay and help your baby brother, put on a sweater
Even saying good to one another when you’re together
Advice to another sister about a mister
Your wife always go and kiss her, tell her you miss her
At night do quiet dikhr (mentioning God), and pray the witr
Invite a guy who wants to bicker, to share a snicker
Grand plans expand in our small little hands
But we overlook demands that just seem like strands
We get jammed on exams, cause we skip the small things
Small baby deeds come, bring the blessings![Chorous]
I just can’t believe
Small little deeds that I overlook, can you see?
Little deeds that I overlook, and you read
I read about it in my holy book, it says
Small deeds never overlook
Lesson: Small deeds never overlook! :)

For The Cause Of Allah (Hadith No. 125)
Salam,
Bismillah.
We often use this phrase: ‘doing it for the Cause of Allah’. ‘It’ can be anything; spending, fighting, learning, working etc. But what does it mean, ‘for the Cause of Allah’? Prophet (SAW) answers the question…
Narrated Abu Musa:
A man came to the Prophet and asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! What kind of fighting is in Allah’s cause? (I ask this), for some of us fight because of being enraged and angry and some for the sake of his pride and haughtiness.” The Prophet raised his head (as the questioner was standing) and said, “He who fights so that Allah’s Word (Islam) should be superior, then he fights in Allah’s cause.”
Lesson: Whatever you do, do it for the Cause of Allah!
Quote from MYNA Raps feat. Native Deen: “For The Cause Of Allah”
If it’s for the cause of Allah, Allah will always be with you
And I know the time has come
For the Muslims in the world to come together as one
We make up one fifth of the total population on earth
And our numbers just keep growing for whatever that?s worth
‘Cause it’s never been the quantity, it is the qualityLet me say it again us Muslims need some unity
Whenever we come together we argue and we fight
I wonder what would happen if all the Muslims unite
I feel the pain in my heart
When I see communities apart
I feel the pain in my heart
When I see communities apart
Our enemies may plan but who plans the best?
Allah, the one who don’t need no rest
So my brother and my sisters if you fail don’t stop
We got to keep on moving till we reach the topIf it’s for the cause of Allah, Allah will always be with you…
If it’s for the cause of Allah, Allah will always be with you…
